Art in Motion

Dance is the language of the body, crafted from strength, grace, and fleeting emotion. Through an attentive eye for rhythm and light, my goal is to freeze the intensity of every movement and immortalize the passion of those who live the art of dance.

Dancer Portfolio Session

BETWEEN 30 AND 60 minutEs

  • Location: In a dance studio or an agreed outdoor location (urban, natural, or conceptual).
  • How it works: Available for individual or group sessions. We work together to highlight the technique, fluidity, and dramatic expression of the dancers, creating artistic portraits that merge the body with its surroundings and celebrate the beauty of dance.

Dance Shows & Recitals Coverage

Duration: Event-dependent
  • What’s included: Complete photographic coverage of the show, covering every choreography.
  • How it works: To capture the essence of each movement at the exact right moment, I ideally attend the dress rehearsal. This allows me to familiarize myself with the lighting, musical cues, and dancer dynamics, ensuring impactful stage images that faithfully capture the energy of the performance. Photographs will be produced for all choreographies in the show.

FAQ

1. How do I book a performance coverage or an individual session?

Get in touch through the form [here] or send an email to miguelalmas@hotmail.com. I will get back to you as soon as possible!

2. Do you attend dress rehearsals before the shows?

Yes, absolutely—it's ideal! Attending the dress rehearsal allows me to study the lighting design, choreography dynamics, and musical timing, ensuring much more precise and impactful photos on the day of the show.

3. Where do dancer sessions take place?

The approximately 1-hour sessions can take place in a dance studio or in outdoor locations (urban, architectural, or natural environments). We choose the location together to best complement the desired concept.

4. Can dance sessions be done in a group?

Yes. Sessions can be individual or in a group. For group sessions, I ensure a balance between group shots and individual portraits/movements for each dancer.

5. How are the photos delivered, and how many will I receive?

All images are delivered in high resolution, individually edited in my signature style, through a private online gallery where you can download and share them with your family. The number of photos varies depending on the duration, but I always prioritize quality and visual storytelling over quantity.

6. What is the turnaround time for receiving the photos?

Individual dancer sessions (studio or outdoor) are delivered within 2 weeks.

Full performance coverage is delivered within 3 to 6 weeks, all via a high-resolution digital gallery.

If helpful, a preview set featuring a smaller, curated selection of the best moments can be delivered early upon request.

7. Do you accept dance projects outside the Lisbon area?

Yes, absolutely. I am fully available to travel to academies, companies, or theaters in other regions.

8. Who owns the copyright to the images, and how is privacy handled?

I fully respect your privacy. Photos will only be shared in my portfolio or on social media with your explicit permission.

However, I kindly ask that you consider allowing it. Without shareable images, it becomes very difficult for me to showcase and promote my work.
